NOTES FOR EPISODE IV of TOUCH AND GO: Going in order of what shows up first... - The title of the episode, "Saa, Hayaku Nigeru No Yo", is taken from one of the lines of the song "Tenchi Muyo! TV Theme" (yes, that's the song's real title). It means, if you haven't caught it before, "Now, Quickly Run Away". - "Trouble is a part of your life, and if you don't share it, you don't give the person who loves you enough chance to love you enough." This quote was originally said by Dinah Shore. - "A rose-scented embrace..." she whispers to herself. Another reference to Shoujo Kakumei Utena. In the section that plays before a number of episodes, a tale of a Princess who was very sad because both her parents had died plays. A Prince on a white horse came and wrapped her in "a rose-scented embrace", and gently kissed the tears from her cheeks. I could have probably relayed that in a more original manner, but oh well ^_^ - The words Starr is singing to the tune of Aerith's theme is something Starry wrote a while back. - "Can you shee the beasht?" is some personal joke of Starry's. I asked her about it, and she told me it's a weird-ass thing her little sister and she were talking about while impersonation Scott Moffat (a singer her sister likes), who she says really does have a lisp like that. It's supposed to be "Can You See the Beast?", although that's kind of easy to guess. - Jenova...herm. How do you explain Jenova? Well, she's an ugly-ass space germ who wiped out the Ancients. That's the most compact version I can think of.
